A little on me...

Welcome to dustybudd.com, your home for everything Dusty.  I am very excited to have a website to allow you to get to know me better.  This is so cool being able to write this I can hardly stand it.  Throughout the site, you'll find audio clips from my work at a radio station.  A production of "Diary of a Scoundrel" performed at the local theatre.  My resume for prospective Employers, and some excellent pictures of myself enjoying life and all it has to offer.

Let me tell you a little about myself.  I am a charismatic, outgoing, friendly personality that wants to use my talents to entertain people.  Having been born and raised in Minnesota, The Midwest mindset and way of life is something that's very important to me.  I graduated from High School in 2001 and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2005 with a Communications degree.  I put that degree and training to the test immediately after College to work for KYMN radio in Northfield, MN.  I was basically the all everything guy...writing and producing and voicing commercials for clients.  Doing the Play-by-Play for the Northfield Raiders in most every spectator sport including Football, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Soccer, and Volleyball.  I also worked as a Play-by-Play voice for two other radio stations, KCHK-AM and KRDS-FM.  My main title was News Director.  This means, I would cover everything that Northfield could offer.  I would go to city council meetings every week and report on those.  I did four live newscasts per day with different news each day (a nice feat for being in a small town.)  Reporting on local events and interviewing local leaders was also part of my job description.  Breaking news and deadlines are second nature to me.  I produced and hosted two shows while at KYMN.  The first, "Noon TIme News Hour with Dusty Budd" allowed me to report the news, play some great music, and interview different guests from all walks of life.  The second show, "Raider Wrap with Dusty Budd" aired every Saturday and delivered the recap of the week in High School Sports including interviewing coach's and players from every sport Northfiled offered.  I am currently residing in Hollywood hoping to use those talents on a grander scale...Any ideas?

This website is definitly a work in progress and I hope to create something that's user friendly but also very cool!  I'm glad to be on-line and am excited to see what new adventures await....Stay Tuned!
